Doing the Most With Your Bathroom

How often do you pop open your phone and scroll through a bunch of dream baths that look like the epitome of relaxation and comfort? Confession: I do it all the time, not to mention some of my own projects that have been life changers for my clients, if I do say so myself. Bathroom inspiration is everywhere, and you better believe that when the time comes to update the ones in my home, I’m not holding back.

But anyhoo, our bathrooms are one of the most used spaces in your home. I mean, it’s really a necessity for all of us. Now, if you had family members like me, the bath was a destination, especially because everyone had to use it during the holidays. So you had the potpourri, the color coordinated rugs and seat covers, and the specialty hand towels that you’re not supposed to use (not gonna lie: if there’s no other towels in sight, I’m using them).

Now if you’re not going all in on the decor in bath already, or you’ve been doing it for awhile and want to try some other things, then don’t fret. There are ways give your bath a refresh that you can be proud of.

Let’s look at this bath right here. It definitely is a typical size for a townhome and small single family home. What they chose to do was add strong accents with the matte black and gold accessories. You still have chill, relaxing vibes here, plus the materials give it a little oomph. What do you think would give your bath that little extra?

Now it’s time to do the work. Look around at your bath and take advantage of some of these tips to switch up your look and make the room feel more like your mini dream oasis.

  • Upgrade your hardware
  • Fresh paint
  • Use a removable, moisture-resistant wallpaper to add pattern to bare walls
  • Add shelving/hooks to empty walls
  • Throw in a plant or two
  • Upgrade your faucets
  • Use some luxurious areas rugs or bath mats to soften the flooring
