Hello all you beautiful ladies and gents! I’m super excited to be back with you this week and get into some more fun content for you. While I’ve been sharing my reviews for Interior Design Masters over the last eight weeks, I’ve been working hard in the background to create new content that checks off two important boxes: Informative and Relevant. It’s also entertaining, but that’s a given because, well, it’s me. Anyway, there’s much to share, and I can’t wait to get into all the things. So let’s get started.
This week, like so many other bloggers, I wanted to get into the holidays (and no, this isn’t about holiday gifts, although, there may be time for that later). If you’ve been paying attention, COVID cases are going back up again in big numbers, and our holiday gatherings are going to be looking a lot different this year. That means family gatherings are going to look a lot smaller in some cases, and you’re more than likely going to be home this year instead of dinner hopping to Grandma Barbara, Aunt Susie or Cousin Pam’s house. And if you are Grandma Barbara, Aunt Susie, or Cousin Pam, your set up is going to be more intimate, and probably a lot simpler.

Why does all that matter? Easy: it’s a great time to grab some last minute pieces to giving your holiday dining experience a little more flair! Now if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you saw my post yesterday of an Interior Moodboard related to a new Design Concept, Sugar and Spice (and everything nice. I can’t say the first part without the second part going off in my head). That concept came from seeing Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty show, which was pure fire btw. I paired that concept with furniture pieces from AllModern, a modern furniture company giving great looks for great prices. It was fun pairing everything together to get a finished look. Here’s another snapshot of each piece:
Everything I selected paired back to the original concept. So what does Sweet and Spicy mean, and how did I pull these particular selections together? Well, here’s the short answer. The specific inspiration was from the more fantastical scene of the Savage X Fenty Fashion Show. (If you haven’t seen it, please do yourself a favor, hop on Amazon Prime right now, and watch it. The creativity will blow your mind.) It was a forest and dancers and colors, and if I say anything else, I’ll have spoiled it for someone. But those images implanted themselves in my mind, and I went straight to defining key elements to look for: structure, visual and physical texture, movement, and bold color. Then I grabbed inspiration from my favorite inspo source (Pinterest, of course), and curated it to create the final look.
Selecting the furniture after that was just aligning the inspiration with the AllModern selections, and I found some solid pieces. Once I did that, I threw in a wall color and flooring and created my final look. Everything I selected is something I’d do myself in my home, or in a client’s upon request. Here’s the final Interior Mood Board. Take a look a see which pieces inspire you the most.

You can get these pieces right now, or look for additional pieces that might suit you better. You can browse AllModern for: Modern Dining Sets, Midcentury Dining Sets, Modern Glass Dining Tables, Plug-In Wall Sconces, or get small space inspiration with these 8 Small Dining Room Ideas. Take a look, and then get moving, because these pieces can go fast!
Want even more information and inspiration? Don’t worry. It’s on its way, but you have to be ready for the next post drop. You know what that means. “Follow me! Follow meeeee.” (Anyone who knows Baltimore Club knows exactly how I said that.) And also like and comment on your favorite pieces or what you might choose for your dining space. I’ll see you all next time!
