January Mood Board Wrap-Up

Hey y’all hey!! It’s a brand new day, and I have a great piece for you today. This week has brought about some great wins and a lot of hard work, but it feels so good. Who knew that consistency worked over time? (Ha!) Anyway, today I want to slide through with my own goodies this week, and for whatever reason I got Gerald the Gorilla vibes hitting me right now. See, see, I’m the one hitting you with mood boards inspired by art and photos. Lolol, listen. Y’all gon’ get all this silliness and these cornball jokes. I gotta be me!

Ok, for real. I’m sharing all my mood boards from the month with you all today. If you’ve been following me on Instagram (tap here for that) or my Pinterest (tap here for that), you’ve been seeing some nice entryway inspiration since 2021 started. And the inspiration for all of them? Bridgerton! That’s right. The show that I dropped a post about at the top of the year (tap here for that, too) because I was, and still am, obsessed. Giving some great design and decor inspo is something I love to do anyway, and starting with the entry just seemed right. So take a gander at your options and see how you might incorporate these ideas into you entryways.

Open Entry: This is currently the style I have in my home. When you walk into my home you walk into a fully open area. So what did I have to do? Create a space with furniture and decor that signals an entry area. This inspiration just helps guide you in creating your own entry space with the pieces that you have and what additional pieces you might need to pull the look together.

Closed Entry: You can think of this as a vestibule, too. It always make me think about my grandma’s house growing up. You had to enter a small room before you actually opened the door to the living area. It’s a great place for umbrellas and coats without you having to bring them into the house. Shoes, too. And we could all use a little closed off entry area to drop our covid stuff and leave it at the door.

Mudroom: Ok. You typically see this room with people who enter from a garage or basement door, but it’s not required. I know we kind of have a mix in our entryway because my husband and my little one will track all kinds of mud in this house without a station. Since my hubby is a true blue cowboy, this particular inspiration is exactly what’s need to keep the mess out and the dirt contained.

Foyer: So when I think foyer, I think larger spaces that lead in to multiple sections of the home: living, dining, family, kitchen. And, you typically find that a staircase is in this area as well, leading up to additional levels of the home. Foyers always hold a sense of grandeur for me, so grandeur is what’s popping in this pretty monochromatic board.

Y’all, there’s more mood boards coming at you, and guess what? You could have your own personal mood board completed along with a full E-Design by me and my team. As a matter of fact, shoot me a message, and I’ll get you scheduled for a call in the next 5 business days. Now, you know what to do: like, comment, subscribe for more from me, your favorite designer (because I’m speaking that), and I’ll see ya next time! Byeeeeee!
