It’s time to talk a little bit about those dollars you’re going to drop when working on your project. While it may seem that most people who start a project are aware of all the costs, the truth is most people find that one or two costs come at a surprise. Even if you love surprises, this is not one that you want to have. So here’s the 3 costs you need to be aware of for your next project.

The Design: When starting a project, getting an interiors professional is one of the best decisions you can make. The designer is focused on the overall design of your space, and depending on the type of you service you select, will also take responsibility for coordinating deliveries and managing project timelines. The charge for these services comes separate from your materials costs.
The Materials: The cost for your materials is what I call the bread and butter of your design. Any renovation or remodel, regardless of scale, includes some material. Maybe it’s brand new furniture in a living room, or some new cabinetry in a laundry room. The costs will vary depending on your budget, you and the space you’re upgrading. That where the labor costs come in.

The Labor: The labor in a project might be the most significant cost you’ll come across. The labor consists of any work that needs to be done to put your materials in their proper place. It’s as minor as hanging pictures and curtains and as major as demo and tiling walls. Your labor cost will not only determine how much can be done in your space, but also the quality to which it’s completed.
Each of these costs create a winning combination to getting the best out of your project. When and how you pay will all depend on how the company defines it’s payment processes, but there are always three areas of consideration. Some companies or firms have a system where they present one cost to the client that includes design, material, and labor. When this happens, all you need to do is verify that the service provides everything you need in comparison with the cost. And that’s it, luv. You have all the information about the 3 costs in an interior design project.
