What colleges have you attended?
I went to three colleges for my education. For me, college was a journey of self discovery, and my college experiences were representations of that. The first college I attended was Philadelphia University. It was my first foray into the creative world and thinking in terms of design and space. I really appreciate the foundations that I learned there, even though I left thinking that interior design was not for me.
My next stop on my journey was Community College of Philadelphia. I was completely lost about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. So I went to school here, part-time, taking my gen eds. I was able to reconnect with myself and how creative I am. And I rediscovered that, after all, I really did want to be a designer.
So I ended up at Academy of Art University. I went 100% online, which was a challenge of its own, and got my degree there. I really was able to connect with concept and detail, and find my voice in terms of how I describe my design and aesthetic. It’s also here that my passion for design really took shape, and that fire has only blossomed throughout my career.
I’m grateful for my varied experiences and how they’ve allowed me to connect with so many different types of people,
