Coffee or tea?

Coffee or tea?

Tea. And I grew up with a mom who was an avid coffee drinker, so you would think it wouldn’t be that way. But it is, and there’s a simple reason why.

I don’t like coffee. That’s it. That’s the story. I don’t care for the taste, and I have no interest in putting loads of cream and sugar in it to make it taste more appealing, but still not really love it. I can’t even count how many people I’ve come across who do that. Why spend all that time and energy when tea is right there, already good without a boatload of extra? But I digress. This is not a coffee hate post. Big ups to coffee lovers. You guys are a good time.

What this is about is tea, and I’m tea all day. One of the most relaxing things I do when I want to come down to a full rest state is smell the aroma of tea, my favorite for the moment being chai. Tells smells goodt, and there’s such variety even amongst specific types. No one makes chai exactly the same, because the spices are all layered differently. Let’s not go into the hibiscus and the ginger and lemon. There are sweet teas and bitter teas and spicy teas. You can drink for your health, or your mood, or just because it’s good. Honestly, tea does not get enough props in the States, but boy is it good. Cold or hot. Straight or with your favorite milk. It’s just yum.

What’s your take? Team coffee or team tea? And what’s your favorite?
