Lawd! All I can say right now is FINALLY! The actual install has begun (in my Mortal Combat voice), and I’m ready for this studio to come together. So let me share what you’re seeing this week.

Paint! Lol. I know, it doesn’t seem like a lot, but the painting portion is the biggest part of this install. There’s three different colors, including paint on the actual door, so it’s not the simplified job that usually comes with painting. I have to be more careful with edging, plus I have to be super careful not to get paint all over carpet. Btw, I hate wall-to-wall carpet, and taking has been a process. That said, I neither had the time or the energy to fool with it this time around, so I’m sucking it up and working around it.

Anyway, the main color, Timeless by Clare, came out beautifully. It’s exactly what I wanted: a warm white that creates soothing base for a relaxing room. I ended up doing the painting just for time’s sake, and I’m about a third of the way done. As of today, I need to finish the ceiling, the accent wall and the trim. One thing I will tell you, is that you should always use a primer if you have a color already on your walls. I was being lazy and did not get a primer. Yes, I know better, but idc. I did double coats to make sure the original blue/green didn’t shine through. And I still passed the final Clare test: the color matched the sample perfectly. Do you think you can find it?

Anywhoo, once the painting is all done, everything else can be pulled into the room, and I’m super excited about that part! Stay tuned next week for the final reveal. “It’s gonna be big.” (Guess that reference! Hint: it’s Disney). Byeeee!
