I did it! Mostly lol. I got through the One Room Challenge, and there’s one thing that I have to say about this particular round. I’m tired. For real. And achy, which is why I don’t do this for anybody but me.

So here’s the overall rundown, I wanted to do an update on my old office and turn it into a guest studio. For the install portion, the heaviest lifter was the paint. I went with a creamy white, a deep green accent wall, and a butter beige for the door and trim. The next heavy lift was the furniture, then came fillers like the rug and peg board and after that, all the decor and things that needed to hit the shelves.

While I’ve done the most of the work in space, there are still a few things I would change. First, the ceiling fan I wanted wouldn’t get here in time, so I just kept my existing one for now. The same thing goes for the bookcase I wanted. Since I had two smaller ones already, I combined them with brackets to give me the feel of a full case. I actually like it better than I thought I would, so I might decide to keep it and give it a makeover. We shall see. I was losing light, so what you don’t see is a hanging two-tier planter, and the plant that goes with it, hanging over the bed. Lastly, more pillows. I went stingy and it backfired, but the cushioning is super comfy and low enough that we can still use it for yoga and prayer.

Overall, I got my room redone, so it’s a win for me. I’m looking forward to getting my missing items in there so I can take final photos. Now, I’m off to sleep for two days. Toodles!
